Raising Malawi Charity Donation

Core Telecom is helping to end extreme poverty and hardship faced by Malawi’s 2,000,000 orphans and vulnerable children by backing Raising Malawi, an organisation created to support community-based organisations and non-government initiatives that offer sustainability to impoverished families.

Founded in 2006 by Madonna and Michael Berg, Raising Malawi supports schemes that provide children and caregivers with critical resources; including nutritious food, clothing, secure shelter, formal education, medical care as well as emotional care and psychosocial support. The most notable achievements have been the development of the Raising Malawi Academy for Girls created to provide improved education facilities, a Millennium Promise Village developing communities and the Raising Malawi-Consol Homes Orphan Care providing basic care for children and vocational skills for caregivers.
Chief Executive of Core Telecom Mahmood Mazhar, having met with one of the founding members, was overwhelmed by the passion and dedication of the organisation, vowing to support them in all future endeavours.

Her Las Vegas condo, located on the 27th floor of the Regency Towers inside Las Vegas Country Club, is currently sporting an unpaid balance of about $750,000. Jackson has owned the condo since 1996, when she purchased the unit for just $260,000. The latest reports state that Jackson has moved her belongings out of the condo, suggesting she might be ready to let the property go.

This Academy Award winner may take home yet another prize: the most foreclosures a Hollywood star must face during the current economic downturn. Blaming many of his financial woes on an unscrupulous business manager, Cage has bid farewell to properties in California and Las Vegas. His latest two losses are properties in New Orleans, which went on the auction block at the end of last year. One property, located in the French Quarter, was valued at $3.5 million and sold for $2.3 million. The other, in the Garden District, was appraised at $3.3 million and sold for $2.2 million.

Stephen Baldwin

Stephen Baldwin, the American actor who was on 2010’s Celebrity UK Big Brother, has also joined the foreclosure gang. His New York property was originally purchased for $515,000, but showed a default amount more than 10 years later of $824,000 out of his current accounts. Taxes were owed on the property, totaling thousands of additional dollars, along with the outstanding mortgage balance.

Evander Holyfield

Evander Holyfield’s massive estate in Fayetteville, Georgia has faced foreclosure not once, but twice in as many years. A second property owned by Holyfield in Fayetteville is also under foreclosure. The former heavyweight boxer owns a 109-room mansion that has an outstanding mortgage balance of $10 million. The first time the property came under fire, Holyfield was able to cough up the cash. The second time, he was not so lucky.
