"Systems Biology Research for Industry"
DTI Life Science Beacon Projects Conference
Thursday 11 May 2006
Royal Institute of British Architects, 66 Portland Place, London W1B 1AD
|
The following presentations were given On May 11, 2006, when the DTI hosted a one day event at the Royal Institute of British Architects in London to celebrate the successes and disseminate the results to date of the Beacon Projects. It was most appropriate that the event was opened by Lord Sainsbury who also launched the Beacon Projects in 2002.
The event was attended by representatives from industry, research councils and other funding bodies, the government and DTI and all the Beacon project teams. The presentations cover both the excellent science that is being achieved and some short commentary on the different ‘experiences' of being part of a Beacon project. The day was indeed varied and challenging and finished with an entertaining and thought provoking keynote speech from Professor Bill Dawson.
