Raising Malawi Charity Donation

Core Telecom is helping to end extreme poverty and hardship faced by Malawi’s 2,000,000 orphans and vulnerable children by backing Raising Malawi, an organisation created to support community-based organisations and non-government initiatives that offer sustainability to impoverished families.

Founded in 2006 by Madonna and Michael Berg, Raising Malawi supports schemes that provide children and caregivers with critical resources; including nutritious food, clothing, secure shelter, formal education, medical care as well as emotional care and psychosocial support. The most notable achievements have been the development of the Raising Malawi Academy for Girls created to provide improved education facilities, a Millennium Promise Village developing communities and the Raising Malawi-Consol Homes Orphan Care providing basic care for children and vocational skills for caregivers.
Chief Executive of Core Telecom Mahmood Mazhar, having met with one of the founding members, was overwhelmed by the passion and dedication of the organisation, vowing to support them in all future endeavours.

“We feel honoured to help such a wonderful charity” says Leeds-based businessman Mazhar. “Malawi is the fourth poorest country in the world, any awareness and change Core Telecom’s donation brings is a step closer to achieving Raising Malawi’s goals.”

The concept of reverse directory look up has been there for quite some time now. With the power to track down telephone systems making calls to your numbers, reverse directory lookup is also used by many law enforcing agencies in the world to nab hardcore criminals, using their hidden phone records.

There are many sites on the internet which can look up a number from public records and bring it to you- for free. If the number you are looking for is not a registered number, or has been registered privately, you might be charged a small fee for the lookup, but nonetheless, you will get your hands on the number you would have been looking for, for so long.

So, there you have it. The next time you get an irritating call from an unknown number you know what to do- just log onto one of the many sites offering reverse directory lookup services, run a look up query and track the number down.
